History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Motivation: Wants her loneliness to end.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Wiggens embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Wiggens lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
