History: He was born in the east. When Thorpe reached his early adolescence his Halfling mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He became a Shepherd soon after.

History: She was born into a rich family. She always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: Alain was born the youngest of three triplets. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: Salanop was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Shepherd. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is unsatisfied with her job

History: The child of a Navigator, who enjoyed hunting, Finellen was taken on many hunting expeditions. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Finellen was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and someone believes him a fraud

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Thiala has worked very hard to control her curse. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. The war was a terrible time for him, and Everard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he feels kind of lost in life

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the south. His first spouse was a Fletcher, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He found several beat up suits of armor and, cannibalizing spare parts, he put together a working one.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and wants to raise his children well
