History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He worked as a nervous Bookbinder and found it very stressful. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Apothecary. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.
