History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her father. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the east were limited. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: He was born into a rich family. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: She was born in the north. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bertram embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He struck the Bricklayer job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
