History: She comes from a rich northern family. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Melissa alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many gnolls want her driven away; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Tabaxi conditions. She now owns her own business.
