History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Elaim was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He found a children's book about a Half-Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
