History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Joan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Joan. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Cartwright for hire.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Mercenary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mercenary work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He worked as a nervous Spice Merchant and found it very stressful. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Meena has worked very hard to control her curse. She has never given up on her writing dream.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His first spouse was a Spy, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
