History: Balam hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Balam fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. She worked as a nervous Gardener and found it very stressful. She tends to her Gardener job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.

Description: He is a mite stocky and prefers to wear grey clothing when he does not wear armor. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: Heward is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and someone believes him a fraud

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
