Personality: Hogar wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Born to a Spy, his father struggled to pay the bills. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Hogar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She has a habit of throwing herself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. When Joan reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Joan fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. A gifted student he started as a Layabout, but he got bored and became a Beggar. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Katherine was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle; and she has a crush on the local barrister

Personality: While she is on the job, she is grim and serious. She understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. She disdains her fellow northerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: Marry her sister to traveling adventurers; and wants to raise her children well

Personality: She exudes charisma. She is a tour de force of persuasion. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Her psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: He hates Dragonborns with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dragonborns in the west were limited. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
