History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Nija was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Vistra was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Vistra decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Animal Trainer profession.

History: Beloril was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Beloril grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Beloril. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Animal Trainer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He's also a talented Priest, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To be a Priest again.
