History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Serpent was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Serpent's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She got into the Dilettante business at a young age. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Seamstress hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life.
