History: She comes from a rich northern family. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Weaver. She now owns her own business.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Volen was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.
