History: Thiala hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Thiala was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. The war was a terrible time for her, and Criella does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She wants revenge against goblins; and someone believes her a fraud

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Drifting grew up listening to her father's many stories. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and seeks redemption
