History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Yvonne was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Ahinar lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A freak accident while working with her Dyer father left her crippled. After a long history of fighting, Ahinar and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: The child of a Farmer, who enjoyed hunting, Delebean was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He's also a talented Farmer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: He got into the Navigator business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Navigator. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His childhood dream was to be a Fortune-teller, but he was a colossal failure. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Doctor responsibilities is difficult; and a rival would like him out of the picture
