Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Patrin hails from a village terrorized by giants. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and a deep hatred of giants

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She has never given up on her writing dream.

History: Oriel was born in the west. At a young age she loved to build and create. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.
