History: Pennie was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. During her travels, Pennie and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Pennie discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Pennie fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

History: Quarethon was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Fisher work with an outfit from a few towns over. Fisher work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Fisher for the past few years.
