Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He comes from a rich western family. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Her psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her first spouse was a Bowyer, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Ratlûg was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He worked as a nervous Fortune-teller and found it very stressful. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

History: Thoradin lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He dropped out of school to support his sick father, and resented it. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Carpenter born in the past three hundred years. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: Dazzazn was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
