History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Blacksmith arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Born in the south to a Ruler, Veloptima learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
