History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He got into the Engraver business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Engraver. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Description: He is renowned for his bright green suits and hats, and carries greataxes. His black hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a skull scrunchie. His eyes are black and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. The war was a terrible time for him, and Thamuz does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Radomir is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average woman, she is not imposing. She wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. Her chestnut hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a top hat. Her amber eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Pyntle lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her first spouse was a Brewer, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and regain custody of her daughter

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Her chestnut hair is smooth and relatively long. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines gold.

Personality: Kali speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She seeks to pay back kindness whenever she gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip she always seeks to do solids for her friends.

History: She was born in a small mountains village. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sailor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Bookbinder for the past few years.
