History: Rolen hails from a village terrorized by giants. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Rolen was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. At a young age her mother died while driving off some brigands. Her father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in spear use. She was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside her partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.
