History: The child of a Bather, who enjoyed hunting, Valafar was taken on many hunting expeditions. A gifted student he started as a Bather, but he got bored and became a Baker. He has achieved small success as a Baker.

He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
