History: Taklinn hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Taklinn was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and doesn't want to be a guard and was forced into it by his family

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.
