History: Gorga was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. After coming to the age of reason, Gorga took it upon herself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Soapmaker. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Soapmaker for the past few years.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he wants revenge against brigands

He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day.
