History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He now owns his own business.

Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Sybil has worked very hard to control her curse. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: He was born in the west. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Shedinn has worked very hard to control his curse. Being a Carter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and wants to work out more often

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was born in the east. A freak accident while working with his Laborer father left him crippled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Personality: This woman loves singing and to teach people singing more than just about anything. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. At some point he was captured by dire rats and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. The war was a terrible time for her, and Ida does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was raised in a forest tribe. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. After a long history of fighting, Ida and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life.
