History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Elysande was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Elysande's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Alston lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp.
