History: Jak was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Elven conditions. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature rapier.

History: She got into the Masseuse business at a young age. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Sage arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. A gifted student he started as a Banker, but he got bored and became a Barber. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
