History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She now spends her time doing works of charity.
