Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Rael never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Through the years after Barbena was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Barbena's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
