History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and regain custody of his son

Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Thiala never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
