History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She tends to her Merchant job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Butcher. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and to be a unemployed again

He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Sellsword. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He is cool and collected. He likes to make quips and puns whenever he does anything. He also makes a point to compliment his superiors and flatter them. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: He was born into a rich family. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He was born into a rich family. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. After a long history of fighting, Henk and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and money/treasure

Description: This woman usually wears her brown robe and has her rapier always slung over her shoulder. She has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized amber on her left hand. Her hair is brown, silky, and of moderate length. She has several tiny amber earrings on each ear.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Jane is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Pearl embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
