History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. Through the years after Gerard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gerard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and he is content

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His hair is long and black with streaks of chestnut, and is pulled back with small white clips. His beard is chestnut, braided, and well cared for. His blue eyes peer out from beneath his top white hat.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Being a Mayor kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. Gale enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gale grew up listening to his father's many stories. His parents enrolled him in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

History: She was born into a rich family. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
