History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Fragrant grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Fragrant. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Ethereal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
