History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Darrak was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Darrak's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: She was born in the south. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
