Description: A middle-aged man, he dresses in violet turtlenecks beneath a grey coat with black slacks, and is pretty ugly. His head has been shaved. He has gleaming, smiling violet eyes.
Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Mindartis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mindartis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mindartis. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and seeks redemption

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. She works hard and plays hard.

She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.
History: Gifted from a young age, Cora studied abroad. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.

Her tied-back hair is silver. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.
Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She is frequently practicing swordplay.
History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac.

Description: A thin man, he clearly needs to put on some weight, but he still has a lot of muscle. He wears black robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a halberd, but if one is not available he will default to his warhammer. He has a long brown beard with little hanging trinkets. His eyes are likewise amber.
Personality: He is fixated on the number 8. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.
History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When Dûgz reached his early adolescence his Half-Orc father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He is cool and collected. He likes to make quips and puns whenever he does anything. He also makes a point to compliment his superiors and flatter them. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.
History: He was born in the north. His first spouse was a Spy, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Her hair is chestnut, silky, and of moderate length. Her hazel eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Joan embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.
History: Joan was born the youngest of three triplets. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and an old rival family wants her found

She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Vorka grew up listening to her father's many stories. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her martial abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
