History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. After a long history of fighting, Bertram and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: The child of a Performer, who enjoyed hunting, Thomas was taken on many hunting expeditions. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Bulzo lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Heather was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She now mingles about in high society.
