Description: A man of a pale complexion, he is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. His long auburn hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His eyes are violet and catlike.
Personality: He is fixated on the number 10. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.
History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Zaffrab was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.
History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. A freak accident while working with her Stableman father left her crippled. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Vepar never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: Born to a Miller, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Dyer for the past few years.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Animal Trainer business.
History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Ulblyn was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Ulblyn's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
