Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Carter but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Fonkin never married again.
