History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Mastema was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, Mastema took it upon herself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Mastema never married again.
