History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, River was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was taken from his home at a very young age. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Heian fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
