History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the west were limited. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Bernard was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
