History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Halander alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Laucian was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Laucian's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
