History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. Marastyr enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. In her 12th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Lilith was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Sarah embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Sarah fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
