Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: She got into the Hunter business at a young age. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
