History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Silaqui was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Chem was a troubled youth. History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When Roge reached his early adolescence his Halfling mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has worked as a Miller like his mother before him.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
