Through the years after Ootah was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She married young, but lost her spouse to illithids. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and a deep hatred of illithids
