History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Born in the west to a Bather, Nalaed learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. After coming to the age of reason, Nalaed took it upon herself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Bather.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

Description: He is in excellent shape and wears many layers of old clothing at all times. His crest is white and very short. His red eyes peer out from beneath his feathered black hat.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Nykkan took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up shield and armor he uses now. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying east to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
