History: Althaea was born with her father's beautiful face. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Althaea was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Spice Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
