History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Maiathah grew up listening to her mother's many stories. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Faran hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting gnolls, the young Faran began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Interpreter. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and he is greedy

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
