History: Chem was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. After a long history of fighting, Chem and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Quelenna hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying south to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
