History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Born to a Scribe, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Shifting was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Shifting's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.
